Argentine Senator Lucila Crexell participates in “International Parliamentary Conference on Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy”.

Senator Lucila Crexell (Movimiento Popular Neuquino, Neuquén Province) participated in the “International Parliamentary Conference on Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy” between 14 and 17 March. The event was organised by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA UK) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The Embassy of Argentina also attended as an observer. The aim of the event was to develop the knowledge and skills of deputies and senators, enabling them to create legislation for and foster sustainable development and renewable energy in their own countries. The subject matter was of special interest for Argentina in light of the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted in September 2015 at the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit held at UN headquarters in New York.
